Sustainability

Our guiding corporate mission is to transform retail real estate strategically, thoughtfully, and responsibly into mixed-use, dominant destinations that are carefully curated to offer a unique-to-market experience that serves the needs and wants of the community. From an ESG perspective, this means implementing and maintaining environmental, social, and governance programs and practices that foster a sustainable future and lead to improvements in the communities where we do business.

Mission Valley achieved platinum status in the SANDAG Employer Commuter Program for 2024 through a series of initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable commuting due to our participation in the SANDAG Employee Commuter Survey, which provided key insights into commute patterns, revealing that 61% of our respondents rely on single-occupancy vehicles, lower than the San Diego average of 80%. Mission Valley also promotes use of public transportation through a monthly transit pass subsidy and with dedicated parking spaces for ride and van sharing.
